4 Slice Toasters

I can still remember my mother cooking breakfast for the family while growing up. The smell of fresh coffee and bacon frying was simply
too much for me to resist. She made home made blackberry jam that I would slather on my toast and use to sop up the left over egg yolk and
bacon grease. She could never keep enough toast on the table. That is until they started making 4 slice toasters,
then she could finally keep up with the demand.
A good, working 4 slice toaster is now a centerpiece around our kitchen counter. If you have a family of any size at all, it is almost
mandatory now days that you ditch the old 2 slice toaster and upgrade to a four slice toaster. You will not regret your decision.
There are certain things that you need to look for when choosing your next toaster. One of the first things you need is capacity. I
would recommend that you look for extra long and extra wide slots. Get them at least 1.5 inches wide by 6 inches long. This will
allow you to easily accommodate larger breads and even sliced bagels should you desire.
Other amenities to look for include; a self centering carriage to ensure that both sides of the bread are the same distance from the burners
ensuring a nice even toasting to both sides, Mica mounted coils should run the length of the toasting chamber to ensure fast, consistent results,
and separate heat controls will allow you to simultaneously cook light and dark toast. Some of the nicer ones even have a 'lift and look'
feature which allows you to peek at the toast without shutting down the heating element.
The only real disadvantage to some of the 4 slice toasters are that they tend to be a little more expensive and they take up a bit more of your
counter space in the kitchen. However, if you can afford it and have the space available on your countertops then by all means, go out a
check out some of the many different 4 slice toasters that are available online, I have a feeling you won't be disappointed.
